Cosmetic Dentistry
A smile that still looks like you — just your best version of it.
Veneers, bonding, contouring, whitening, and comprehensive smile design by a dentist with nearly three decades of cosmetic experience. We aim for natural first; dramatic only when you want it.
What cosmetic dentistry is really about
Cosmetic dentistry is the art of improving the appearance of your teeth and smile — color, shape, size, alignment, proportion. Done well, the result looks like you, just refreshed: a friend might tell you that you look well-rested, but not be able to say exactly why.
Dr. Kreitman's approach to cosmetic work is conservative first: if we can get the result you want with whitening and minor reshaping, we won't recommend veneers. If you need more comprehensive work to really love your smile, we'll design it carefully and show you mockups before a single tooth is prepared.
Services we offer
Porcelain Veneers
Thin, custom-crafted shells of porcelain bonded to the front surface of teeth. Veneers can correct stubborn discoloration, chips, worn edges, minor crowding, and gaps — often all at once. Modern veneers are remarkably thin, requiring minimal tooth reduction. We'll show you a preview of the final shape and color before we commit.
Cosmetic Bonding
A tooth-colored composite resin, artfully sculpted directly onto the tooth in a single visit. Bonding is perfect for repairing chips, closing small gaps, and reshaping individual teeth — typically with no anesthesia and no lab work required.
Professional Whitening
See our dedicated page for ZOOM!® in-office whitening, our most popular whitening option. We also provide custom at-home whitening trays for a gentler, gradual approach.
Smile Makeovers
For patients who want to rethink their smile more comprehensively, a smile makeover combines two or more treatments — often whitening, veneers or bonding, and contouring — into a single coordinated plan. Dr. Kreitman designs each plan around your features, your face shape, and the look you're going for.
Tooth Contouring & Reshaping
Sometimes the difference between a smile you like and a smile you love is a fraction of a millimeter. Subtle reshaping of edges and corners can dramatically balance a smile in a single painless visit.
Invisalign® & Orthodontic Cosmetics
For patients whose cosmetic concerns are really about alignment, Invisalign clear aligners are often the cleanest solution — no metal, no wires, no altered tooth structure.
How the process works
- Consultation. We sit down — no chair, no bright lights — and talk about what you want to change and what you want to keep. Bring photos if you have them.
- Exam & imaging. We assess the health of your teeth and gums first; good cosmetics only work on a healthy foundation.
- Design. Using intraoral scans and digital imaging, we mock up options so you can see the direction before we commit.
- Treatment. Depending on the plan, this may be one visit or a small series, spread over a few weeks to let your smile settle in.
- Follow-up. We check in after the work is done and make any small refinements you'd like.
Frequently asked questions
Will this look fake?
Not if we do our job. We design smiles to match your face — tooth shape, size, and color are all tuned to look natural in proportion to your features. If you want dramatically bright or uniform teeth, we can do that too — but only if that's explicitly what you're after.
How long do veneers last?
With good care and regular cleanings, porcelain veneers commonly last 10–15+ years, and often longer. We'll show you how to care for them to maximize their lifespan.
Is cosmetic dentistry painful?
Most cosmetic procedures are comfortable — many require no anesthesia at all (bonding, whitening, contouring). Veneers involve a small amount of tooth preparation; we numb thoroughly and work carefully. Most patients are surprised by how easy the experience is.
Does dental insurance cover this?
Purely cosmetic work is typically not covered by insurance, but procedures that address functional issues (worn teeth, cracked teeth, bite problems) often are, even if the result is also aesthetically pleasing. We'll verify coverage in advance and be transparent about cost.
Can you show me what my smile will look like before we start?
Yes — for most significant cosmetic work, we create digital mockups or temporary trial smiles so you can see (and sometimes wear) the result before committing to permanent changes.
